João Oliveira

João Oliveira is an economist at Banco de Portugal and a PhD student at the New School of Business and Economics. In his research, he uses macroeconomic models of heterogeneous agents to study the effects of technological changes on the economic inequality of consumers, as well as to determine policies to mitigate their adverse effects. Additionally, he is interested in the macroeconomic effects of financial stability, with particular emphasis on quantifying the effects of financial crises on consumer welfare.
