Current challenges facing Portuguese international trade

ABOUT THIS PROJECT

This project comprises different dimensions of the Portuguese international trade. Firstly, it focuses on exports of non-tourism services. It’s widely acknowledged that services are taking a larger share in international trade and this is part of a broader trend towards the servitization of many manufacturing sectors.

The project aims to characterize Portuguese services exporters along different dimensions and assess servitization in manufacturing traders. Secondly, the projects aims to evaluate the existence of barriers to the expansion of Portuguese exporters, which is part of a broader discussion on the role of framework costs in economic activity.
