PRESENTATION
Contributing to building an equitable future for all generations – this is the main objective of this project, which aims to ensure that today’s decisions do not jeopardize the rights and needs of future generations. Intergenerational Policy Evaluation proposes the analysis of public policies and presents recommendations to make them more quantifiable, objective, and aligned with a long-term vision.
The event, which presents work developed in partnership with the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, will feature two main sessions:
- Presentation of the results by Nova SBE researchers Francesco Franco, Marli Fernandes, and Marlon Francisco;
- Panel discussion with speakers Miguel Poiares Maduro, Dean at Católica Global School of Law, Susana Peralta, Associate Professor at Nova SBE, and Luís Lobo Xavier, from the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.
METHODOLOGY AND RESULTS
At the event, we will present the conclusions of recent studies based on the innovative methodology developed by the School of International Futures (SOIF) in partnership with the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and integrated by E4P. We will present the conclusions of some of the following studies:
- Housing (rent control and expansion of social housing);
- Sustainable Employment Commitment (active labor market policy);
- Restoring teachers’ total service time;
- Pensions (non-adjustment in 2023);
- European Union Pact on Migration and Asylum (the impact of reducing the number of immigrants);
- IRS Jovem (reducing income taxes for those under 35).
