Alberto Alesina and Dani Rodrik exploited, in a seminal paper, how distribution affects long-run economic growth. Two former students from Nova, Luís Fonseca and Miguel Aguiar, have summoned the Simpsons to explain the algebra and illustrate the mechanism. Dani Rodrik acknowledged the pedagogical aid in his weblog.
